Veolia Nuclear Solutions Acquires Daher Nuclear Technologies

Veolia Nuclear Solutions (VNS) has announced the successful acquisition of Daher Nuclear Technologies (DNT), effective 31 December 2024. This strategic move marks a significant expansion of VNS's capabilities in the nuclear waste management sector, particularly in France.

The newly acquired entity will operate as Veolia Nuclear Technologies France (VNT France), a wholly owned subsidiary of Veolia Nuclear Solutions. This acquisition aligns with Veolia's GreenUp strategic plan, which emphasises growth in hazardous waste management solutions.

  • Enhanced technological capabilities: The merger combines VNS's innovative solutions and on-site nuclear services with VNT France's expertise in radioactive waste management.

  • Expanded operational footprint: VNS incorporates into its operations the Epothémont (Aube) nuclear installation, further improving radioactive waste management and treatment capabilities

  • Strengthened workforce: The acquisition brings together a larger team of qualified professionals, enhancing VNS's operational skills.
